History: This beautiful trio’s design features a floral motif, with stylized red, yellow and green flowers and soft scalloped edges trimmed with gold, is a characteristic mid-century floral decal pattern. Unfortunately, Paul Muller patterns were often not named but this is a classic example of post-war German porcelain design aimed at export markets (particularly to the U.S. and U.K). The mark with the crown and script font suggests circa 1940-1950’s. The “Abt.Paul Muller” (Abteiling= Division) mark was typically used during the mid-20th century, after Paul Muller was integrated into the Hutschenreuther company in the 1920’s but before Rosenthal acquires Hutschenreuther in 1969.
