Duchess Hand Coloured Floral
$82.00Price
Name: Duchess Hand Coloured Floral Type: Trio Year: circa 1912 Set: No Mark: Duchess - Duchess China History: This design features a delicate floral garland of pink roses, yellow flowers, and green leaf swags alternating with gold striped scrolls around the rim. The style is reminiscent of late Victorian or Edwardian revival designs, very much in keeping with 1930-1940’s decorative taste. The backstamp confirms this trio is made by Duchess China, a well-respected English bone China, known for producing fine tea wares from the early 20th century onward. This piece appears to have hand painted detailing or at least hand enamelled accents. This pattern is not widely catalogued under a name (many Duchess patterns were numbered rather than named) which may make it rarer. Flaws: Slight crazing and staining on side plate
